Deadline to Breadline

November 7, 2022

Are you overestimating your ability to survive with no income?

UK consumers are overestimating their ability to survive with no income.

On average, consumers think they could survive 60 days if they were to suddenly lose their income. When calculated based on their actual savings and spending patterns, however, the average UK consumer is just 19 days from the breadline, down from 24 days in 2020***

Startlingly then, when The Exeter provides statistics to show that only 19% of self-employed workers have Income Protection, we can’t help but conclude that consumers are under-protected in relation to their income, especially those of us that are self-employed.

To get a quote for Income Protection, there are no fees from us. You can tell us your circumstance, and we can give you an indicative quote based on your circumstances. All that costs is a bit of your time.
