You have the freedom to run your business and diary how you want to, you can decide which price point you operate at and there are various tax benefits available. We are self-employed, and we love it!

However, there are a number of other points you need to consider:

The onus falls very much on you to ensure that your personal financial situation does not inadvertently suffer as a result of being self-employed.

Have a think about the things you don't get being self-employed: Sick Pay, Workplace Pension scheme, Death in Service lump sum.
